Here’s the testimony of an incredible ‘creative miracle’. A creative miracle is when God does the impossible and re-grows dead or missing tissue-like a missing arm or in this case replaces dead lung tissue. The following is a first-hand account from Jacob’s mother:
PRAISE GOD !!!
Jacob had his appointment with the Pulmonologist this morning at CHOC. Dr. Y. was STUNNED by the incredible difference in his CT Scan!!!!
The prior CT Scan showed his left lung was 90% filled with Nasty Battle-Droids…I mean Pneumatoceles. The Doctors could not see ANY healthy lung tissue. They “hoped” if they did surgery to remove the dead lung tissue and the HUGE Pneumatoceles they may be able to salvage a portion of his lung and healthy lung tissue “might” re-grow.
Also, the border of Jacob’s lung was so damaged that it was allowing his lung to push into his heart causing pain. The Doctor’s were worried that Jacob’s dead left lung would damage his healthy heart. That is why then called the heart and lung surgical expert, Dr. Palafox. If they were removing the lung and the heart had been compromised he would be the best man to take care of them both while he was inside Jacob’s chest. They planned to remove the “dead-lung” to save the heart. You have two lungs and can live with only one…the heart is a non-negotiable.
The healthy lung tissue is now THERE and the Pneumatoceles are NOT!!
God did not need to wait for surgery to clear anything out of His way… He just created NEW HEALTHY lung tissue just like HE did when he formed Jacob’s lungs originally 8-years ago!! The border of Jacob’s lung is now strong and his heart is not being touched in any way. Praise GOD!!
Our Pulmonologist is recommending NO SURGERY!! She made it clear she is deferring the final decision to Dr. Palafox. But as she was leaving she squeezed my shoulder and told me that Dr. Palafox highly respects her opinion and they are usually on the same page. Yea, GOD!!
Only one more Doctor to get through!! Dr. Palafox – Monday, March 2nd 3:30.
I had FAITH that Jacob had been healed, but seeing the incredible contrast in the CT Scans, and the shock and happiness from our Pulmonologist (Dr. Y. teared up when she showed us the CT Scan – She had spent a great deal of time with Jacob at CHOC) I was completely overwhelmed.
I knew God COULD heal Jacob; I am so thankful that He chose to.
The incredible relief hit me when I got in my car to drive back to work. I had to sit in the parking structure at CHOC for a long time sob my THANKS and PRAISE to God.
When back at my office, I received a call from our first surgeon Dr. Kabeer. He was SPEACHLESS!! He kept says that he had NEVER seen such a dramatic change. He said it was ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!! (He said ABSOLUTELY AMAZING five times…) He has no medical explanation for the improvement.
Dr. Kabeer laughed and reminded me that Dr. Palafox did not want a new CT Scan because they had already confirmed that Jacob had a “Necrotic Lung”… Jacob’s lung was medically dead and that much damage just does NOT reverse itself.
I told Dr. Kabeer that I would not let Dr. Palafox cut Jacob open until they confirmed he had not been healed. Dr. Kabeer said he was just ordering the CT Scan to humor me and that he did not think they would see any significant improvement. Dr. Kabeer said lung tissue does not just “re-appear” after it has been liquefied….
Dr. Kabeer now wants to get hard copies of the CT Scan from Hoag and all the medical records from when Jacob’s journey began in the Emergency room on December 20th. He wants to do a medical write-up on Jacob because he has NEVER seen anything like this before…He had consulted with Internationally renowned expert Dr. Grossfeld while we were in CHOC and got numerous other opinions. The best-of –the best did not think this was possible. Dr. Kabeer wants to meet with us and plans on using Jacob as a case study for further research. I told him you can not always prove things out medically. Sometime you just have to have FAITH. He said he had a feeling I would say that! My God is so cool!!
We continue to praise Jehovah-rapha, The God WHO heals, for His incredible MERCY and POWER!!

We are also praising Jehovah-jireh, the Gods WHO Provides, that I still have my job…
My company filed for Chapter 11 Bankruptcy last Thursday. We have laid-off over 90% of the company (1,000+ families).
Mercifully, I am one of the remaining 86 employees…I am thankful for insurance coverage for Jacob and that I have a job to come to.
However, it is day to day and the bankruptcy court has to approve our restructure plan, our G&A costs…everything.
I appreciate your continued prayers for PEACE and PROVISION.
We believe that YOU have had a front row view and have played a huge part in God’s MIRACLE for Jacob and our family!!
God has heard and honored your prayers and we will be eternally grateful. Jacob will be a “walking and talking and praising God” reminder for your faithfulness, diligent prayers, and God’s awesome POWER!!!
